Important sizing information
All sizes you enter refer to the internal display area of the case. The external dimensions will be larger.
- Width and depth increase by approximately 10mm
- Overall height increases by approximately 26mm
- Corner posts sit approximately 15mm in from each corner
When measuring your item, allow at least this amount of clearance around it. For best results, we recommend allowing at least 25mm clearance all round. This means adding 50mm to the width and depth and 25mm to the height of your item.
Modern Acrylic Base Construction
Our modern-base acrylic display cases are designed to give your display a clean, contemporary appearance while keeping the focus firmly on the item inside. The base uses a layered acrylic construction with machined stainless steel corner posts for a premium, architectural look.
Layered Acrylic Base
The base is made from two separate 5mm acrylic layers, creating a strong, rigid and visually distinctive platform for your display.
Stainless Steel Corner Posts
Machined stainless steel posts separate and secure the two acrylic layers, adding strength while giving the base a modern, precision-made finish.
Choice of Base Colour
Available in gloss black for a high end modern display effect, gloss white for a clean presentation, or clear acrylic for a minimalist appearance.
Raised Protective Feet
The lower base includes plastic feet to lift the display slightly from the surface below, helping protect both the base and your furniture.
Secure Cover Location
The lower base is slightly larger than the acrylic cover, so the cover sits on this piece, while the upper layer is slightly smaller than the inside of the cover, fits inside the cover to stop it from sliding off the base.
One-Piece Acrylic Cover
The acrylic cover is formed from a single sheet of 3mm clear acrylic, with two thermoformed bends to create the front, top and back panels, with the side panels securely bonded onto it and polished to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
UV Protection
The acrylic we use blocks over 90% of UV light, helping to reduce fading and preserve the condition of your displayed item over time. Nevertheless we do not recommend leaving your display in direct sunlight.
Frameless Acrylic Cover
The clear acrylic cover is supplied as a single, frameless piece, offering uninterrupted visibility from all angles while allowing natural light to illuminate your display without obstruction.

Very well built, perfectly sized and very quick delivery.
Very pleased with the case, robust construction in three rather than five pieces. The model is of a bike I made in the 60s, a “special” with parts from Triumph, BSA and Norton

Excellent Buy! – I recently purchased two custom display cases with the modern base. I have used Las Acryl Ltd before, but this was back in the day when they were called Widdowsons Ltd. Back then their products were first class, and I’m glad to see and say that their quality and standards remain the same! The cases are expertly made, lovely sharp lines and curves, clear and uniform with no imperfections what so ever. The modern bases are also superb, the black gloss acrylic is unmarked, and their fixings are simply excellent. Plainly put the overall cases are outstanding and will add to the content displayed whatever it is. Manufacturing was as stated, and once completed the cases where quickly dispatched and well packaged for there journey. I couldn’t be happier. I have 5 cases now of different sizes and they all look fantastic and the quality is consistent. I will be using again for another purchase as I have more Lego that needs displaying.

Fantastic display case made to order. – Hi I found this company online. And compared them with a few others and decided to take a chance because they were within an hours drive of my location and I wanted to collect in person due to the display cases being fragile. And I’m glad I purchased this from them. It really is well made and cheaper than some Of the competitors I looked at. I have added an additional base to my display case but I had this case made so that it would fit over my own display base. Great Acrylic Custom Display Case – I ordered 2 Custom sized clear Acrylic display cases, which arrived with both cases wrapped in bubble wrap as base and case, and in a cardboard sleeve, both sent in a larger cardboard box for maximum protection via carrier. They arrived within the estimated delivery time, in perfect condition . I received good communication about the progress of my order, when it was despatched , and telling me when it had been delivered by e-mail. The Acrylic is strong and clear, the raised base ensures that the display is dust proof. As the display case top is produced in one piece, there are no small screws or metal joiners required, so you only see your displayed item, With no distractions.
