The two-piece acrylic base keeps the cover stable. The lower base section sits slightly wider than the cover, so the cover rests securely on top. The upper base section fits inside the cover, which helps prevent the cover from being knocked off. Machined stainless-steel corner posts hold the two base sections firmly and space them about 13mm apart for a clean, modern finish.
