About our Acrylic Display Cases

Display cases are becoming increasingly popular, mainly due to the need to protect precious or delicate items from dust and inquisitive fingers. But the added advantage to an acrylic display case is the fact that it will also protect your collectibles from damaging UV light as well, they will block over 90% of UV light. We have quite a few different styles of display case, below is a brief outline of the different styles available.

Traditional Acrylic Display Cases The traditional acrylic display case- This is our original design of display case, it has a five sided removable clear acrylic cover, which sits on top of the wooden base. The wooden display base has lip around the outside which locates the clear cover. It has a soft base covering on the top which is available in a range of colours, as well as a soft baize covering underneath which stops the display case from sliding or damaging your furniture. This type of display case can be found in the Custom Display Cases Small , Custom Display Cases Large and our Stock Sized Display Case sections.

Modern Acrylic Display Case The modern acrylic display Case- This modern contemporary design has no wood, it is has a two part acrylic base which is made using satin aluminium supports and acrylic. The base has a flat piece of acrylic that the five sided clear acrylic cover sits on top of, then it has an inner base which fits inside the clear acrylic cover which is attached to the bottom base by four satin aluminium supports. The five sided cover just lifts off, and is held in place by the upper part of the base. Underneath the acrylic base are four rubber feet which will stop the display case from sliding on or damaging your furniture. This style of display case has a choice of a black acrylic base, or a clear acrylic base, and can be found in the Custom Sized Display Case Small and the Stock Sized Display Case Sections.

Aluminium Framed Display Case The Aluminium framed display case is ideal for larger display cases and display covers. Depending on the ssize this case can be supplied ready assembled or for easy home assembly. It has a 25mm profile aluminium frame and 4mm thick acrylic panels in between. This one is supplied with a baize covered base which is available in a choice of colours. The five sided aluminium case lifts off the base and has rubber feet to protect your furniture. this display case can be found in our Custom Display Cases Large section.

Aluminium Framed Lockable Display Case The Aluminium framed lockable display case is ideal for larger display cases. Depending on the size this case can be supplied ready assembled or for easy home assembly. It has a 25mm profile aluminium frame and 4mm thick acrylic panels in between. The lockable door is made from 6mm thick acrylic. This is a complete six sided display case, with access through the hinged lockable door. This is ideal for security as well as for when the model is too big to have a display case cover lifted over the top of it for access, or if you require access regularly. These display cases are available with or without shelves and can be found in the Large Custom Display Case Section, Aluminium Display Case Section and the Lockable Display Case Section.

Acrylic Shelved Wall Display Cases Our acrylic wall display cases are made entirely of acrylic, with the exception of the wall fittings which are satin aluminium. Because they have no wooden frame they do not need internal lighting because the light from your room is not obstructed from entering the display case. The back panel has the shelves fitted to it and is fixed to the wall, and then the clear acrylic cover just fits directly to the back panel. They were designed specifically to hold multiple models, collectibles or ornaments. We have specific ones for buses, cars and model trucks, as well as a general one which you can choose the amount and spacing of the shelves. Acrylic Wall Display Cases These wall display cases only have one shelf in them, so they are mainly for displaying a single item on the wall. They have a choice of a clear back and shelf, or a black back and shelf. The cover is made from clear acrylic and lifts on and off the back panel easily. These display cases can be found in the stock sized display cases sections, the wall display case section as well as the custom wall display cases section.
